Attention all baseball enthusiasts! Are you ready to put your knowledge to the test and predict the future of MLB free agency? The MLBTR Free Agent Prediction Contest is here, and it's your chance to shine!
This exciting contest invites you to predict the destinations of the top 50 free agents. Click the link https://forms.gle/K8KWywKpYsQf8i3D7 and dive into the world of baseball speculation. But here's the catch: you've got until Thursday, November 13th, 11 pm central time, to make your picks. So, hurry and get your predictions in!
Here's the lowdown on how it works:
- After the deadline, we'll reveal a public leaderboard, showcasing the top contenders. Your full name will be displayed, so if that's an issue, please sit this one out.
- We'll collect email addresses to notify the winners, so make sure you provide a valid one.
- Any player who signs a contract before the contest closes will be excluded from the predictions.
- Once you submit your picks, you'll get an email from Google Forms with an option to edit your choices until the deadline.
- The winners will be announced on MLBTR once all 50 free agents have signed. The top three places will receive cash prizes: $500 for first, $300 for second, and $100 for third. Additionally, everyone who finishes in the top 15 will win a one-year membership to Trade Rumors Front Office.
- The winners will be declared on March 25th, 2026, and any unsigned players will no longer be part of the competition.
- In case of a tie, we'll use a unique tiebreaker method. We'll sum up the rankings of the correctly predicted free agents, and the participant with the lower total will take the lead. For example, if Tim predicts Kyle Tucker (#1) and Robert Suarez (#21), his total is 22. Steve predicts Framber Valdez (#6) and Michael King (#14), for a total of 20. Steve wins the tiebreaker.
